Kenneth L. Dretchen, PhD is Chairman and Professor in the Department of Pharmacology. Dr. Dretchen recently served as member of a team that designed kits for use by the United States Military in the event of exposure to chemical weapons. His current research with the National Laboratories and Department of Defense focuses on rapid detection of chemical threat agents to protect individuals in danger of exposure.
Dr. Dretchen teaches second and fourth year medical students as well as MS and PhD students. He is a multiple Golden Apple awardee and was inducted into the MAGIS Society of Master Teachers.
