Kevin T. FitzGerald, SJ is the Dr. David P. Lauler Chair for Catholic Health Care Ethics and a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Biochemistry and Pharmacology of the Department of Oncology. He serves as a member of the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics, the Advisory Boards for the Center for Infectious Disease as well as the Angiogenesis, Invasion, Metastasis Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
His interests include abnormal gene regulation in cancer and ethical issues in human genetics and research. He is also a Jesuit priest and an expert on ehtical issues in personalized medicine, pharmacogenomics, human cloning research, stem cell research, and genetic testing. He directs courses on research ethics and lectures frequently to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.
