Sona Vasudevan, PhD

Sona Vasudevan, PhD is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  She also serves as an adjunct senior bioinformatics scientist for Protein Information Resource (PIR) and directs the dual-degree program (MD/MS) in systems medicine, a program she created.  Dr. Vasudevan's expertise is in structural biology, structural bioinformatics, homology modeling, protein-ligand interactions, antibody-antigen interactions, drug-discovery and systems medicine. 

Dr. Vasudevan teaches Biochemistry, Structural Biology, and many courses in Informatics and serves as a mentor to many students.  Among her many awards for her contributions in teaching and research, Dr. Vasudevan is a recipient of the Dahlgren Memorial Library's READ POSTER Honoree for Contribution to Cura Personalis and many excellence-in-teaching awards.
