Joan B. Riley, MS, MSN, FNP-BC, FAAN

Joan B. Riley, MS, MSN, FNP-BC, FAAN is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Human Science at the School of Nursing and Health Studies (NHS). She also serves as the Assistant Dean for Educational Innovation at NHS and as Senior Scholar in the Center for New Desings in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS).  In 2009, she was named the District of Columbia Teacher of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.  In 2011, she was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.  She has taught at Georgetown for more than 30 years and works with faculty across disciplines to integrate wellness issues into their courses in the Engelhard Project.
